Normal Township Food Replacement Program - DEADLINE August 31, 2026<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In response to the devastating power outage that affected our community from August 13\u201317,\u00a02026, Normal Township is providing emergency food assistance to eligible households to help\u00a0<\/span>replace groceries that were lost due to the prolonged loss of refrigeration.<\/span><\/p>

The Food Replacement Program is designed to help households replace approximately one\u00a0week of groceries, recognizing that households generally purchase food on a weekly basis but\u00a0<\/span>may have food on hand for more than one week at any given time.<\/span><\/p>

Food Replacement Assistance Based on current food-cost data and household size, eligible\u00a0households will receive the following assistance:<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u25cf Household of 1: $100<\/div>
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u25cf Household of 2: $200<\/div>
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u25cf Household of 3: $300<\/div>
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u25cf Household of 4 or more: $400<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div><\/div>
Eligibility Requirements<\/div>
1. Proof of Power Outage<\/div>
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u25cf Contact your electric utility and request an outage verification letter documenting that\u00a0your residence was affected by the August 13\u201317, 2026 power outage. –<\/span><\/div>
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Ameren: Call 1.800.755.5000 and request an outage letter. The letter may be\u00a0emailed or mailed to you. –<\/span><\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Corn Belt Energy: Call 309.662.5330 and request an outage letter.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The letter may be emailed or mailed to you.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
2. Proof of Eligibility Provide one of the following: –<\/div>
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u25a0 Proof that you currently receive SNAP benefits<\/div>
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u25a0 A recent SNAP eligibility\/approval notice<\/div>
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u25a0 A screenshot or printout from your Illinois ABE\/Benefits account showing\u00a0current SNAP benefits<\/span><\/div>
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u25a0 Other official documentation showing that you currently receive SNAP –<\/div><\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
3. Proof that your household income is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level (pay\u00a0stubs from the most recent 30-day period)<\/span><\/div><\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
4. Be 55 years or older<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
5. Be A Normal Township Resident<\/div>
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u25cf Proof of Residency Provide one of the following documents showing your current\u00a0address:<\/span><\/div>
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u25cb Current lease –<\/div>
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u25cb Current utility bill –<\/div>
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u25cb Government-issued identification with your current address<\/div><\/div>

Other Documentation Needed:<\/div>
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Identification for ALL Household Members – Name, Date of Birth, SSN<\/div><\/div>

Application Review<\/div>
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u25cf All required documentation must be submitted via email or brought to Normal Township.<\/div>
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u25cf Normal Township will review applications and verify eligibility before assistance is issued.<\/div>
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u25cf Please bring all required documents to the office or send ALL required documents to our\u00a0email, help@normaltownship.org in one email with the subject line labeled \u201cFood\u00a0<\/span>Replacement Program\u201d.<\/span><\/div>
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u25cf Once your application is approved, a Kroger Voucher will be ready to pick up at our\u00a0office during regular business hours. You must have a valid ID to redeem the Kroger\u00a0<\/span>Voucher.<\/span><\/div>
